Copa Libertadores 2024 Stadiums

The 2024 Copa Libertadores is the 65th edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores, South America’s premier club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL.

32 teams participate in the group stage of the tournament and in this article we will have a look at their stadiums.

Maracanã  – Flamengo, Fluminense

The Maracana is the biggest stadium in Brazil with a capacity of 73,000. It opened in 1950 and hosted the World Cup final of the same year.

It is home to the current Copa Libertadores winners, Fluminense and the 3 times champions CR Flamengo.

Estadio General Pablo Rojas – Cerro Porteno

The biggest stadium in Paraguay with a capacity of 45,000 is the Estadio General Pablo Rojas. It is the home of Cerro Porteno.

The club has reached the semifinals 6 times in 45 appearances in the competition.

Estadio Alejandro Villanueva – Club Alianza Lima

The Estadio Alejandro Villanueva is the home of Alianza Lima. It has a capacity of 34,00 spectators.

Estadio Monumental David Arellano – Colo Colo

The Estadio Monumental serves as the home ground of Colo-Colo. It has a current spectator capacity of 47,000.

Colo Colo has won the title in 1991 in 34 appearances in the competition.

Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes – Talleres

The Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes is the home of the Argentinian runner ups, Talleres. It opened in 1976 and has a capacity of 57,000.

This will be the 4th appearance of Talleres in the competition.

The largest stadium in Ecuador with a capacity of 59,000 is Estadio Monumental Isidro Romero Carbo.

It is the home of Barcelona, who have lost the Copa Libertadores final twice.

Estadio Municipal “Zorros del Desierto” de Calama – Cobresal

The Estadio Zorros del Desierto has a capacity of 12,300 and will host the home games of Cobresal.

This will be the 3rd appearance of the Chilean club in the competition.

Estadio Hernando Siles – The Strongest, Club Bolivar

The biggest stadium in Bolivia with 41,000 seats is Estadio Hernando Siles.

It is the home of the Bolivian champions, The Strongest and Club Bolivar. The first has 30 appearances in the competition while the second has 38. Bolivar have reached the semi-finals twice.

Estadio El Campín – Millonarios

The Estadio El Campín has a capacity of 39,500 and is the home of the Colombian runner-up, Millonarios.

The club has played in the Copa Libertadores 20 times and and has reached the semifinal three times.

Estadio Jorge Luis Hirschi – Estudiantes

With a seating capacity of 35,530, the Estadio Jorge Luis Hirschi is the home field of club Estudiantes de La Plata.

The club has 4 titles in 17 appearances in the competition.

Estadio CAP Acero – Huachipato

The smallest stadium in the tournament with a capacity of 10,000 is Estadio CAP Acero.

It is the home of the Chilean champions, Huachipato FC.

This is the 3rd club’s appearance in the Copa Libertadores.

Arena do Grêmio – Gremio

The Arena do Gremio has a capacity of 60,540 and is the home of Gremio.

Gremio have won the title 3 times in 21 appearances.

The Estadio Campeón del Siglo can hold 40,000 people and is the home of Penarol.

Peñarol is the third-highest Copa Libertadores winner with five victories.

Estadio Gigante de Arroyito – Rosario Central

The Estadio Gigante de Arroyito has a capacity of 48,000 and is the home of Rosario Central.

The Argentinian club has played in 13 Libertadores editions reaching the semifinal twice.
