The Tynecastle Park opened in 1886 in Edinburgh and since then it has been the home of Hearts FC. Tynecastle has a seating capacity of 19,800 which makes it the sixth-largest football stadium in Scotland. Hearts have won the title 4 times in 121 appearances in the League.
The Easter Road opened in 1893 and has a capacity of 20,400. It is the home of Hibernian F.C. Hibernian won the Scottish League four times, most recently in 1952. They reached the semi-finals of the inaugural European Cup in 1955-56, becoming the first British team to play in a European competition.
The Rugby Park opened in 1899 and has a capacity of 15,000. Since then it has been the home of Kilmarnock FC. The oldest club in the league won the title in 1965 in 94 top-division appearances.
The Almondvale Stadium was built in 1995 and it has a capacity of 9,700. It is the home of Livingston F.C. Their best-ever position in the league was the third place in the 2001–02 season. They have played in 11 top-division tournaments.
The Fir Park opened in 1896 and has a capacity of 13,600. It is the home of Motherwell F.C. who have won the title in 1932 in 108 appearences in the League.
The third largest football stadium in Scotland with a capacity of 50,800 is the Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow. It is the home of Rangers who have won the Scottish League title a record 55 times. Rangers won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1972 and have lost 4 finals in European competitions.
The smallest stadium in the League with a capacity of 6,500 is the Victoria Park in the town of Dingwall. The capacity of Victoria Park is greater than the population of Dingwall, which is 5,400. It opened in 1929 and since then it has been the home of Ross County FC. The club has played in the top division 11 times.
The McDiarmid Park is a football stadium in the city of Perth. It has been the home ground of St Johnstone since its opening in 1989. The stadium has an all-seated capacity of 10,700. St Johnstone have spent 60 seasons in the top tier of the Scottish football league system without ever winning the title.
Built in 2008, the St Mirren Park is the newest stadium in the league. It has a capacity of 8,000 and is the home of St Mirren F.C.. The club has spent 113 seasons in top level having reached the 3rd place twice.
