The Steigerwaldstadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Erfurt. The stadium is able to hold 18,600 people and was built in 1931. It is the home of FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt. The club has won the title in East Germany twice. They have also participated in the 1991-1992 UEFA Cup.
The Auestadion is able to hold 18,737 people and was opened in 1953. Since then it has been the home of Hessen Kassel. The club has never played above the 2nd division of the German football.
