Copa America is the primary international football tournament for national teams in South America. It is organized by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL)
The 2024 Copa America is set to be the 48th edition of the tournament. The tournament will be hosted by the United States, marking the second time the U.S. has hosted Copa America, with the first being the Copa America Centenario in 2016.
All ten CONMEBOL member nations will participate (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela). Six teams from CONCACAF will be invited (Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, USA, Canada, and Costa Rica) making a total of 16 teams competing in the tournament. The 16 teams will be divided into four groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stages, which include the quarterfinals, semifinals, third-place match, and final.
Matches will be played across various cities in the United States, utilizing some of the major stadiums used in MLS and in the NFL.

Children’s Mercy Park – Kansas City, Kansas
The Children’s Mercy Park is located in Kansas City and is the home for Sporting Kansas City.
Opened in 2011, It has a capacity of 18,500 and it will onlyhost one group game of the tournament.
Q2 Stadium – Austin, Texas
The Q2 Stadium has a capacity of 20,000 and is the home of Austin FC of the MLS.
It opened in 2021 and in the Copa America, it will host 2 group games.
Inter&Co Stadium – Orlando, Florida
The Inter&Co Stadium is located in Orlando and is the home of Orlando City FC of the Major League Soccer.
Opened in 2017 with a seating capacity of 25,500, it will host 2 group games in the 2024 Copa America.
Allegiant Stadium – Paradise, Nevada
The Allegiant Stadium is a domed multi-purpose stadium located in Paradise, Nevada.
Opened in 2020, it is the home field of the Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL and has a capacity of 61,000.
It hosted this year’s Super Bowl and in Copa America, it will host 2 group games and one of the quarter-finals.
State Farm Stadium – Glendale, Arizona
The State Farm Stadium is located in Glendale and is the home of the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL.
Opened in 2006, it has a capacity of 63,400 and in its history it has hosted 3 Super Bowls. It was also one of the stadiums of the previous Copa America hosted in the USA in 2016.
This year it will host 2 group games and one of the quarter-finals.
Hard Rock Stadium – Miami Gardens, Florida
The Hard Rock Stadium is located in Miami Gardens, Florida, and is the home field for the Miami Dolphins of the NFL.
It opened in 1987 and it can hold 65,000 people.
In its history, it has hosted 6 Super Bowls and it will now host the final game of the 2024 Copa America.
Levi’s Stadium – Santa Clara, California
The Levi’s Stadium is located in Santa Clara, California, and is the home of the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL.
It opened in 2014 and hosted the 50th Super Bowl game.
It has a capacity of 68,500 spectators and in the Copa America it will host two group games.
SoFi Stadium – Inglewood, California
The SoFi Stadium is located in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood and has a capacity of 70,000.
Opened in 2020, the stadium is home to the NFL clubs, the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.
In the 2024 Copa America, it will host two group games.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium – Atlanta, Georgia
The Mercedes-Benz Stadium has a capacity of 71,000 and it serves as the home stadium of the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL and Atlanta United FC of Major League Soccer.
Opened in 2017 it has hosted one Super Bowl game.
In the Copa America, the stadium will host the opening match plus one more in the group stage.
NRG Stadium – Houston, Texas
The NRG Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Houston and has a seating capacity of 72,000.
It is the home of the National Football League’s Houston Texans.
Opened in 2002, the stadium served as the host facility for 2 Super Bowls.
In the tournament, it will host two group games and one of the quarter-finals.
Bank of America Stadium – Charlotte, North Carolina
The Bank of America Stadium is located in Charlotte and is the home facility of the Carolina Panthers of the NFL and Charlotte FC of MLS.
It can hold 75,000 people and it will host one of the semifinals and the third-place playoff.
Arrowhead Stadium – Kansas City, Missouri
The Arrowhead Stadium is located in Kansas City, Missouri, and serves as the home venue of the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL.
Opened in 1972 with a seating capacity of 76,000 and in the 2024 Copa America, it will host one group game.
AT&T Stadium – Arlington, Texas
AT&T Stadium is a retractable-roof stadium in Arlington, Texas that opened in 2009 and serves as the home of the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL.
It can hold 80,000 people and it will host two group games and one of the quarterfinals.
Metlife Stadium – East Rutherford, New Jersey
The biggest stadium in the competition with a capacity of 82,500 is the Metlife Stadium.
It serves as the home for the New York Giants and New York Jets of the NFL
It opened in 2010 and has hosted one Super Bowl Final. It is also set to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.
In the Copa America, it will host 2 group games and one of the semi-finals.
