Japan J3 Division 2023 Football Stadiums

The third division of the Japan Professional Football League is known as the J3 League. It was established in 2013 and 20 teams will participate in the 2023 season. In this article, we will have a look at the stadiums that will host this tournament.

The Hanazono Rugby Stadium in Higashiosaka is the oldest rugby union stadium in Japan specifically dedicated to rugby. For the 2023 season, it will also host the football team Osaka FC of the Japanese 3rd division.  It opened in 1929 with a capacity of 26,544 people.

The NHK Spring Mitsuzawa Football Stadium is an association football stadium in Yokohama. It serves as the home ground of Yokohama FC in the J2 League and YSCC Yokohama in the J3 League. It was built in 1955 and has a capacity of 15,454 people.

The Prifoods Stadium is a football stadium located in Hachinohe and it is the home to the local football club Vanraure Hachinohe. The stadium opened in 2016 with a seating capacity of 5,200 people.

The Shiranami Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the city of Kagoshima. It is the home stadium of Kagoshima United FC of the Japanese 3rd division. The stadium was originally opened in 1972 and has an official capacity of 19,934 spectators.

The Ashitaka Park Stadium is a multi-purpose athletic stadium in Numazu city. Opened in 1996, it serves as home to the football club Azul Claro Numazu. The stadium has 5,000 seats in the main stand and can also accommodate another 5,000 people in the lawn stands behind the goals.

The Sagamihara Gion Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Sagamihara, that opened in 2007. It is currently used mostly for football matches as it is the home ground of SC Sagamihara. This stadium has a seating capacity of 11,808.

The Unilever Stadium Shintomi is a football-specific stadium in the town of Shintomi and it serves as the home stadium of the football club Tegevajaro Miyazaki. It opened on February 15, 2021, with a seating capacity of 5,354 spectators.

The Kōnoike Athletic Stadium commonly known as Rohto Field Nara is a multi-purpose stadium in Nara city. It is currently used as the home stadium for Nara Club which will participate in the J3 League for the first time in its history. The stadium holds 30,600 people and opened on March 31, 1983.

The Sunpro Alwin is a football-specific stadium in the city of Matsumoto. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Matsumoto Yamaga FC. The stadium has a capacity of 20,396 spectators and was built in 2001.

The Minami Nagano Sports Park Stadium is a football-specific stadium located in Nagano. The stadium opened in 2015 with a seating capacity of 15,491 and serves as the home ground of Nagano Parceiro.

The Toyama Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the city of Toyama. It is currently used mainly for football matches as it is the home ground of Kataller Toyama. This stadium’s capacity is 25,251 people and it opened its gates in 1993.

The Mikuni World Stadium is an association football and rugby union stadium located in Kitakyushu. It opened in 2017 and since then is the home ground of Giravanz Kitakyushu. It has a capacity of 15,300 people.

The Pikara Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the city of Marugame. The stadium holds 30,099 people and was built in 1997. For the 2023 season, it will be the home of Kanamatare Sanuki.

The Iwagin Stadium is a football stadium in the city of Morioka, built in 1998. It will be the home stadium of Iwate Grula Morioka for the 2023 season. It is the smallest stadium in the J3 League with a seating capacity of 4,946 people.

The Gifu Nagaragawa Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the city of Gifu. It is currently used mostly for football matches as it is the host of FC Gifu. The stadium was originally opened in 1991 and has a capacity of 26,109 spectators.

The Axis Bird Stadium is a football-specific stadium in Tottori. The stadium serves as the home to J3 League side Gainare Tottori. It opened in 1995 with a 16,033 seats capacity.

The Toho Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the city of Fukushima and was built in 1994. Currently, it serves as the home ground of Fukushima United. The stadium has 6,500 seats in the main stand and can also accommodate another 14,000 people in the lawn stands.

The Tapic Kenso Hiyagon Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium on the island of Okinawa. It currently serves as the home ground of FC Ryukyu. The stadium holds 25,000 people and was built in 1987.

The Satoyama stadium is a brand-new football stadium in the city of Imabari. It will be used by Imabari FC for the 2023 season. It has a seating capacity of 6,000 people.

The Ningineer Stadium is a multi-use stadium in the city of Matsuyama. It is the home of the local football club Ehime FC. The stadium’s capacity is 21,401 people and it opened in 1979.
